Evatic decided to begin developing Evatic Mobile for Android telephones in the spring of 2009. In retrospect this has proven to be a very wise decision that our customers now may take full benefit of.
According to a survey done by the American company Gartner Inc., the market share connected to new sales of Android, the new operating system from Google, grew from 3,5% to 25% of the market for mobile operating systems from Q3 2009 to Q3 2010. This extreme growth has among others happened at the expense of Windows Mobile which experienced a decrease from 8% to barely 3% in the same period.
Our Mobile solution, Evatic Mobile, was launched for Android late last year, and has so far been a great success among our customers. We are currently developing Evatic Mobile for iPhone and Blackberry (ref RIM in the table), which both will be launched with Evatic version 3.5.0.
